3rdmill was established in December 1997 as a one man operation, and grew steadily to employ more than 15 permanent staff and service a large client base (Websites and IT services), including:

- Olympic Co-ordination Authority (one of the Sydney Olympic 2000 Websites)
- More than 50 Insurance Brokers: Austbrokers, IBNA and Steadfast members, as well as non-aligned brokers (mostly in Sydney and Melbourne)
